A unit bundles the listed securities. Its components may become separately tradable after a period specified in the prospectus, even before a business combination. Units still outstanding at the business combination are generally separated into their components. Check the relevant SEC filings for the timing and procedure.
Only whole warrants can be exercised; fractional warrants per unit require multiple units to make a whole warrant. Warrants commonly allow holders to buy shares after a business combination at a set exercise price, often USD 11.50. They often last up to five years but may be redeemed earlier. Exercise date, price and term can differ; consult the relevant SEC filings.
Inflection Point Acquisition Corp. VIII is a special purpose acquisition company incorporated as a Cayman Islands exempted company for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses, which we refer to as our initial business combination. We have not selected any specific business combination target and we have not, nor has anyone on our behalf, engaged in any substantive discussions, directly or indirectly, with any business combination target with respect to an initial business combination with us. However, members of our management team had been actively in discussions with potential business combination partners in their capacity as officers and directors of Inflection Point Acquisition Corp. III (“IPCX”) and as officers and directors of Inflection Point Acquisition Corp VI (“IPFX”), and we may pursue business combination partners that had previously been in discussions with the management teams of IPCX and IPFX.
