Bullish Receives GFSC Approval for Tokenized Securities Trading
Cayman Islands - Bullish (NYSE: BLSH), a global digital asset platform, has officially received approval from the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) to offer trading in tokenized securities. This regulatory milestone marks a significant step in the company's ongoing collaboration with Gibraltar to build regulated infrastructure for digital assets.
Strategic Advancement in Digital Assets
- Regulatory Milestone: Bullish is now positioned as one of the first regulated venues capable of offering trading in issuer-sponsored tokenized securities.
- Capital Market Efficiency: The offering aims to introduce blockchain benefits, such as 24/7 trading and near-instant settlement, to traditional capital markets.
- Expansion Strategy: The approval complements Bullish's pending acquisition of Equiniti (EQ), a global transfer agent. The combined platform intends to span the full lifecycle of a tokenized security, including issuance, registry, and secondary market trading.
Trading for tokenized securities is expected to commence in the coming weeks, subject to final pre-go-live conditions. This initiative aligns with Bullish's broader vision of bridging traditional financial infrastructure with blockchain-based solutions for eligible non-U.S. investors.
