Circle to Acquire Tazapay to Expand Global Payments Infrastructure

New York and Singapore, USA and Singapore -- Circle Internet Group, Inc. (NYSE: CRCL), the global financial technology firm and issuer of USDC, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-headquartered B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company. The transaction is expected to close in 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

The proposed acquisition aims to integrate Tazapay's extensive network into the Circle ecosystem, bringing over 60 banking and fintech partners and 100-plus payout markets. This move is designed to accelerate USDC distribution at scale and enhance global digital finance infrastructure.

  • Tazapay brings over 25 billion dollars in annualized payment volume.
  • Approximately 60 percent of Tazapay's transaction volume already utilizes stablecoins.
  • Tazapay customers will experience no disruption to their services, APIs, pricing, or support.
