Core Scientific and AMD Announce Strategic AI Infrastructure Partnership
Miami, Florida and Santa Clara, California - Core Scientific (NASDAQ: CORZ) and AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to high-performance AI infrastructure. This collaboration focuses on supporting the growing demand for AMD compute solutions, including AMD Instinct GPUs, EPYC CPUs, and ROCm software, within large-scale data center environments.
The partnership positions Core Scientific to provide the necessary physical infrastructure for AI deployments, leveraging its capabilities in building and operating high-density colocation facilities. The agreement is expected to play a significant role in the AMD technology roadmap.
- Infrastructure Scale: AMD has secured over 500 megawatts of U.S. capacity starting in 2027, with the potential to scale up to 2.5 gigawatts of data center capacity.
- Technological Collaboration: The companies will collaborate on physical infrastructure design and the integration of AMD hardware and software platforms.
- Commercial Terms: As part of the agreement, AMD will receive market-priced warrants to purchase Core Scientific common stock, subject to specific commercial conditions.
