Namib Minerals Updates on Redwing Mine Dewatering Progress

New York, USA - Namib Minerals (Nasdaq: NAMM), an African mining platform, has announced that the restart process at its Redwing Mine in Zimbabwe is proceeding on schedule. The company provided an update on its dewatering activities, which are critical for the anticipated resumption of operations at the brownfield site.

Since the commencement of dewatering on January 29, 2026, significant progress has been made. The company has pumped approximately 544,570 cubic meters of water, resulting in a decline of water levels by about 21.9 meters. The current pumping capacity stands at 640m per hour, ensuring operations remain on track.

Key Highlights:

  • Steady Progress: Water levels have successfully declined to approximately 74.9 meters below the Redwing Shaft surface collar.
  • Reliable Infrastructure: Pumping operations have continued consistently with no material interruptions since January.
  • Future Capacity: High-capacity submersible pumps are expected to arrive on site shortly to further boost dewatering capabilities.

The Redwing Mine, a historically significant site that has produced 650,000 ounces of gold, currently holds 1.18 million ounces of gold in measured and indicated resources. This restart is a central pillar of the company strategy to develop a scaled, multi-asset African gold platform.
