Quantum Space to go public via $1.2 Billion SPAC merger

Quantum Space Targets Public Markets

Bethesda, Maryland, USA - Quantum Space, an emerging leader in space defense and orbital mobility, has announced a definitive agreement to merge with Inflection Point Acquisition Corp. VI (Nasdaq: IPFX). The transaction is set to list the company on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol QSPC, marking a significant milestone for the firm as it scales its operations.

The company, led by former NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine, focuses on the development of Ranger, a purpose-built, highly maneuverable spacecraft designed for national security missions. The move to go public via a SPAC merger rather than a traditional IPO is driven by a desire for speed to meet rapidly evolving space security requirements.

    Transaction Details

  • Pre-money valuation: $600 million.
  • Pro forma equity value: Approximately $1.2 billion.
  • Total new capital: $533 million, including a $300 million private investment in public equity (PIPE).
  • Ticker Symbol: QSPC (upon closing).

Quantum Space currently holds six contracts and pending proposals with key national security customers, including the U.S. Space Force, DARPA, and the Air Force Research Laboratory. The proceeds from the deal will fund the accelerated production of the Ranger platform and the expansion of U.S. manufacturing facilities, with a pathfinder launch anticipated for mid-2027.
