(Nasdaq: SPAI), a technology company focused on AI-enabled defense and security, announced it has been awarded a 1.3 million dollar U.S. Government subcontract via Forterra. The award tasks the company with integrating its proprietary AI-based threat detection technology into autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).
Transaction Details:
- Project Scope: Integration of advanced computer vision and machine learning AI pipelines to enable real-time detection of explosive threats for autonomous ground vehicles.
- Technology: The system utilizes the patented SPOTD (Safe Pro Object Threat Detection) technology.
- Capabilities: The platform is designed to identify over 150 types of explosive threats, including landmines, cluster munitions, and unexploded ordnance (UXO), as well as ambush drones.
- Data Foundation: The AI model is trained on a vast dataset comprising more than 2.8 million drone images and over 50,368 confirmed detections.
