SL Science Holding Limited Submits Orphan Drug Designation Request for Glioblastoma Treatment

Taipei, Taiwan - SL Science Holding Limited (Nasdaq: SLBT), a company specializing in innovative cellular and gene therapies, has announced the formal submission of an Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The application seeks designation for its Gamma Delta T (GDT) cell therapy product, Vdelta2+ Gamma Delta T Cells, specifically for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).

The FDA Office of Orphan Products Development has formally acknowledged the receipt of the request, which is currently under review. This regulatory milestone aims to address the significant challenges associated with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer with very limited treatment options and a median survival rate of approximately 15 months.
