Standard Nuclear Hits Key Construction and Licensing Milestones for TRISO Fuel Production

Oak Ridge, TN, USA Standard Nuclear (NYSE: STDN), a reactor-agnostic producer of TRISO nuclear fuel, has announced major progress in the expansion of its domestic fuel production capabilities. The company has reached substantial construction completion at two new advanced fuel facilities located in Tennessee (SN-TN) and Idaho (SN-ID).

These facilities, designed to replicate a modular manufacturing framework, are poised to significantly increase the nation's capacity for TRISO fuel production. Once fully operational, the sites are expected to add a combined capacity of up to 5 metric tons of uranium (MTU) per year. Currently, each facility is targeted to provide an initial capacity of 1 MTU annually.
