WeRide & Uber Expand Autonomous Vehicle Partnership Globally

Guangzhou, China and San Francisco, May 5, 2025 – WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) and Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: UBER) have announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership. The collaboration will extend to 15 additional cities globally over the next five years, including locations in Europe. This expansion aims to accelerate the deployment of autonomous mobility solutions worldwide.

Building on a successful launch in Abu Dhabi and upcoming launch in Dubai, WeRide and Uber are committed to introducing their autonomous vehicle partnership to several new cities annually, excluding the US and China. In these cities, WeRide’s Robotaxi services will be integrated into the Uber app, with Uber overseeing fleet operations.
